John will discuss recent changes to Canada’s refugee determination system and associated immigration entitlements and how they are impacting the ability of newcomers living with HIV to obtain legal status in Canada.  He will also address the changes to the Interim Federal Health Program and how refugees living with HIV have been affected with a focus on strategies to minimize hardship.
