Colleen has been on the Board of CTAC and Chair of the CTAC Hepatitis/HIV Co-infection WG for the last 4 years.
Colleen was instrumental in developing partnerships with CTAC, OHTN, Hepatitis C Secretariat and the AIDS Bureau for the “Towards Greater Integration: a Think Tank on Hepatitis C and HIV Co-infection in Ontario”. In 2009, she was partner in a documentary called “From Courage to Care” about people living with HCV/HIV co-infection, front line and clinical perspectives", available at www.ohtn.ca.
As the mandate of CTAC changed to include people living co-infected, the HCV/HIV the WG in which Colleen is Chair also broadened its focus to include Hepatitis B. Current work focused on the 1st Canadian HIV/HBV/HCV Co-infection Research Summit 2010 which made CTAC, OHTN and other partners, leaders in responding to gaps in co-infection research, care and support service delivery not only nationally but internationally.
At the Board level, she advocates for access to treatment and access to mental health, addictions and housing services to improve treatment outcomes and quality of living, regardless of result, for all PHA’s.
